With the summer season in full swing, our tastebuds are desperately searching for a chill treat to keep cool. And, of course, it helps immensely if said treat is delicious. On the hunt for both flavor and a way to refresh? Yogurtland needs to be your next stop.
The sorbet and froyo chain invited me over to try some of their new flavors, including the CHERRY Chomp Sorbet and the Pineapple POWER-UP Sorbet, both part of a partnership with the one and only PAC-MAN video game brand. Yogurtland is the queen of frozen delights, mastering both juicy, sweet, and tangy flavor options. And don't even get me started on the toppings bar!
I also got to try the Strawberry Mango Sorbet, Alphonso Mango Tart, and others. Oh yes, I was putting my tastebuds to work, honey! All to bring you a ranking of six flavors that are guaranteed to make you feel like you're on a tropical vacation with every spoonful.
#6: Toasted Coconut
I'm kicking things off with the bottom of the six flavors I tried. Don't get me wrong, Toasted Coconut is not last because I did not love it. I do and always have. But that's the thing. Toasted Coconut is one of the few flavors on this ranking that is a core flavor at Yogurtland, so you can enjoy it at any time. With a new season here, I simply prefer different flavors, so the Toasted Coconut is not one I would recommend over the following five flavors.
Still, Toasted Coconut is delicious. After all, there's a reason why Yogurtland has it as a core flavor. The coconut has a strong presence in the froyo, but it does taste more like a fall-early winter flavor over summer.
#5: CHERRY Chomp Sorbet
Yes, I am giving the fifth spot to one of the two new PAC-MAN-inspired flavors, the CHERRY Chomp Sorbet. I know it's new, and I love new! But this flavor is simply a little too sweet for my taste. I'm all about sweet treats, but the CHERRY Chomp had me reaching for a cup of water once I was done with it. It's refreshing at first, but it does not help achieve the ultimate refreshing feel we're all searching for this summer.
#4: Dragon Passion Tart
Want sweetness that isn't overpowering or too stuffing? The Dragon Passion Tart is the right one for you. This flavor is only here for a limited time, so don't wait too long to try it. It features such a fantastic combo. Dragonfruit, passionfruit, and strawberries? Yes, please! If you want to enhance the flavor of this Dragon Passion Tart, add strawberries and coconut flakes from the toppings table. Trust me!
#3: Alphonso Mango Tart
I struggled to rank my second and third favorites. Ultimately, I've decided to give the third spot to the Alphonso Mango Tart since this is not a limited-time offering from Yogurtland. I love mango, especially during this time of year. I mean, who doesn't? It's sweet, but not too sweet, refreshing, and irresistible. A summer fruit favorite! And Yogurtland has managed to create a froyo that blends all of this in a cup. Unlike most flavors on this ranking, the Alphonso Mango Tart is a core flavor at Yogurtland, so enjoy it all summer long, in the fall, and beyond. Also, did you know June is National Mango Month?
#2: Strawberry Mango Sorbet
I have already shared with you how much I love mango, so mango with strawberry? The best of both worlds! This flavor is such a refreshing must-have treat. Yogurtland shares that this flavor features real strawberries and sweet mango, and I strongly recommend you add fruit to this sorbet from the toppings table if you want to intensify the experience. Don't ruin it with chocolate chips or something too sweet. Get it while it's hot (as in the temperatures outside, not the sorbet)! The Strawberry Mango Sorbet is only here for a limited time.
#1: Pineapple POWER-UP Sorbet
Drumroll, please! The top summer flavor at Yogurtland right now is the Pineapple POWER-UP Sorbet! For the ultimate, fresh, summer flavor? You need to try the Pineapple POWER-UP Sorbet, and you need to do so while you can because it is only here for a limited time.
As I shared in my in-depth review of the two new PAC-MAN-inspired flavors, Yogurtland's Pineapple POWER-UP Sorbet is very refreshing and light. I shamelessly enjoyed a full cup and did not feel stuffed, which is a big deal when what you are enjoying is a sweet treat. The POWER-UP is sweet, but just the right amount to where it doesn't weigh you down or overpower your tastebuds. And it may not be in its title, but the Pineapple POWER-UP Sorbet also features mango! That's right, it's the perfect blend of sweet mango and tangy pineapple, which explains why it's not too sweet, not too tart.
Which flavors will you be rushing to Yogurtland to enjoy this summer?
