Dunkin’ Donuts is launching donut fries for a limited time

Dunkin’ Donuts is giving us something new this summer, even if it has been a long time in the making. Welcome to the summer of donut fries.

Donuts are a sweet and delicious staple of the breakfast portion of our day (although there are plenty of chances to enjoy this sweet treat at any time), and Dunkin’ Donuts has long been one of the go-to homes of these pastries. Over the years, Dunkin’ has introduced any number of new concoctions, including different flavors of coffee and unique donuts.

However, according to Bustle, it looks like this summer things are going to get even more delicious at Dunkin’ Donuts, with the addition of a brand new menu item. For a limited time, fans of the pastry can get their hands on donut fries.

Think about donut fries as a new take on the french toast stick, or maybe even as a sweet take on the classic french fries. Either way, the summer of the donut fries is here, and we are all for it.

Starting on July 2, fans of Dunkin’ Donuts can head out to their local store and get their hands on what some of us might call the perfect summer pick-me-up, the donut fries. Each order contains five fries (and if you think about it, that is the perfect snack portion), and will cost you just $2 per order.

If you love donuts, then this is going to be your new addiction. This is Dunkin’s way of putting a fresh spin on their classic offering, as they take their buttery and airy croissant dough, fry it up, and then toss it with cinnamon and sugar.

Donut fries are only here for a limited time

The donut fries will still feature the soft interior of a donut, but with the crunchy-fried exterior of a perfectly crisp french fry. Think about this as perfection in every bite, especially if you already love french toast sticks, french fries, or donuts in general. Rather than a salty treat this summer, you can enjoy a crisp and sweet fry unlike any other.

For now these donut fries are only going to be around for a limited time this summer. However, if we love them enough, perhaps Dunkin’ Donuts will change their mind and decide to make this a permanent addition to their menu. Either way, 2018 is going to officially become the summer of the donut fries, at least for those of us who love sweet, fried goodness.

While the donut fries are not the only new addition to the menu, we think this might end up being their very best. However, if you aren’t a fan of french fries, then grab one of their new donut flavors or coffee options, such as the Chocolate Coconutty Donut, the Shark Bite, or the Brown Sugar Cold Brew.

All-in-all, it sounds like this could really be the summer of Dunkin’ and we are totally okay with that.
