Is McDonald’s giving out free French Fries on National French Fry Day?

National French Fry Day is almost here and McDonald’s Canada is celebrating by giving away free French Fries, but what about the U.S.? Are they doing it to?

It’s Friday the 13^th this week, ooo scary, but that is not what you should be focused on. What you should be focused on is National French Fry day. This Friday is that day and restaurants everywhere are celebrating. McDonald’s Canada is one such place and they are celebrating by giving away free French Fries.

But what about the U.S.? Are they running the same offer to? Or is limited to Canada only?

If they are they haven’t made it known; or not very clear anyway. Whereas McDonald’s Canada has been advertising the offer via Social Media, McDonald’s U.S. has not. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they are not giving out free French Fries, they could just be waiting until closer to the day before making it known.

They may have a completely different marketing strategy as well; they could be relying on the advertising by other McDonald’s like Canada to spread the word. They may just not be making it known at all as well; instead just making customers aware of it when they come in to make purchase.

Who knows? It would be a big surprise if they did nothing, I am sure they will be celebrating the day somehow, and most likely in a similar way to McDonald’s Canada.

After publication, McDonald’s US has confirmed they are giving out free French Fries on National French Fry Day. As per the official US website.

"FREE medium fries with any purchase of $1 or more (excluding tax). To get your free McDonald’s fries, download and register for our app, and use it to make your qualifying purchase. Valid at only participating U.S. McDonald’s restaurants. Limit one offer per person per visit. The deal is only valid on Friday, July 13."
