A new advert for Chick Fries has been released by Burger King and you have got to watch it, it’s an eye-opener.
Burger King Adverts have been coming out thick and fast recently, but this latest one advertising Chick Fries is by far the best. I didn’t think they could top the Budweiser advert, where the king himself spoke, but I was wrong; I was so wrong.
That’s because this advert for Chick Fries has nothing to do with fries really, but with the ‘Pink Tax.’

Unsure what the ‘Pink Tax’ is?
Well, it’s basically referring to the products that woman pay more for; either via extra tax or because the manufacturer made it look girly.
This is actually happens, it isn’t a joke. Razors blades are a good great example. Blades for woman cost more than blades for men even though they are the same thing. Tampons and pads have tax applied to them, even though they are an essential item. In a nutshell, female products cost more than male products even though they are the same thing.
Not everyone is aware that this happens and this is way Burger King decided to make the social experiment and ultimately, the Chick Fries advert.
This might seem a strange thing for a fast food chain to do. Running social campaigns on hot political topics; but this isn’t the first time Burger King has gotten involved in campaigns.

For example, when net neutrality was the hot topic, Burger King raised awareness to why this was so important by charging people over $20 for a Whopper to be made straight away and just under $5 for those who didn’t, but they would then have to wait 20 minutes for it.
At the end of the day, whether you think they should be doing this or not. It’s a creative thing they are doing that is ultimately doing some good, so hey, why not.
