When it comes to unique brews, it feels like Blue Point Brewery has us all covered. And their latest beer, Bubble Brain IPA, is definitely different.

There is something about a bit of nostalgia that can make anything a must try. And with Blue Point Brewery‘s new Bubble Brain IPA, everything from the flavor to the design of the can scream nostalgic.

What makes the Bubble Brain IPA so special is the fact that it is inspired by the flavor of a classic 10 cent bubble gum. With both the sour and fruitiness of the gum we all grew up chewing, this beer is a one-of-a-kind treat that doesn’t just stop at the flavor.

With the help of Brent Engstrom, the current artist behind the Garbage Pail Kids, Blue Point Brewery was able to capture the 80’s in a can. While you might not think of bubble gum as the ultimate flavor of beer, you’ll still want to pick these up just for the art work. In fact, every four pack you snag will give you mix of colors that pop, making these pieces of art for your fridge.

According to Brand Manager, Noelle Witt, the Bubble Brain IPA comes courtesy of brewmaster Stoney, who “was inspired by days spent thumbing through binders of old Garbage Pail Kids cards at his hometown novelty store.” As Witt explains, the label for this brew is inspired by the brewmaster himself. As she explains, “The character on the label is actually Brent’s interpretation of Stoney, surrounded by piles of bubblegum and the tanks used to brew Bubble Brain IPA.”

It’s hard to deny how unique this particular brew is. Not only is there a flavor profile that is nostalgic and far from ordinary, but the design of the label is enough to draw attention with its eye-catching colors.

Here is a brew that is fun and drinkable, and that is what makes Blue Point Brewery a winner, they know how to make amazing beers that also have a story behind them.
