BentoBox is doing more than acting as a platform for restaurants to have a presence, now they are also launching a donation feature to help customers give money to a relief fund.

With many restaurants struggling to keep their doors open and their employees paid in the current crisis, companies like BentoBox are trying to help make a difference. And as part of their commitment to helping restaurants continue to serve the community, the platform has added a new donation feature for their Covid relief fund.

In a press release from BentoBox, they announced the launch of their donation feature that will allow customers to contribute $1.99 to the relief fund when they place an order with a restaurant hosted on the platform. That donation will then be used by the restaurant in question to help keep the doors open.

And no need to worry about any fees being taken out of those donations, as 100 percent of the $1.99 donation goes straight to the relief fund.

Considering BentoBox is all about giving restaurants and customers an effortless experience, while also elevating interactions between the two parties, it makes sense that they would want to do their part to help the businesses they are already supporting.

Krystle Mobayeni, the CEO and co-founder of BentoBox, explained that, “We knew that we had to move quickly to support restaurants that have been profoundly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation feature is easy to use and should serve as an instant source of relief while we work to attain substantial industry-wide relief measures.”

This service is easy to use for the customers, and acts as a quick measure to make a difference based on insight that the company received from the restaurants they serve. With how much online ordering has increased just in the last three weeks, it only makes sense for a relief fund to utilize the platform of online ordering to gather donations.

What BentoBox has done is make it easier for customers to support their favorite restaurants, while also offering some semblance of relief for the businesses that they are working closely with.
