Sometimes you see a product and the first thing that comes to mind is “how did that become a thing?” That will probably be your first thought when you see Sinful Colors’ new line of nail polish that not only take the colors of everyone’s favorite snacks, but also their scents. That’s right, these nail polishes smell like food too. Why was this made? Your guess is as good as mine.
What food did they use for inspiration and what exactly do these nail polishes smell like, you might ask? Good question. The Sweet & Salty nail polish line includes six different colors: Chocolate Cake, Cookies and Cream, Donut Even, Cheese Puff, Taco Tuesday, and Pizza Party. Do we really want our nails to smell like tacos or pizza?

It’s not just the smell that makes this nail polish unique. Sinful Colors also made the texture of the nail polish similar to the food it was inspired by. So the cheese puff polish has a crumbly texture, the donut one has pastel sprinkles, cookies and cream looks exactly like the ice cream, and the Pizza Party has little pepperoni glitter pieces running through it.
But Sinful Colors wasn’t alone in creating this food-inspired nail polish line; they also had help from singer Bebe Rexha who is the face of this new collection.

Where do you get this food-scented nail polish? It’s currently available at Walmart and you can order it online or pick it up at your local store. It looks like the set of six is sold out, but you can buy the colors individually for $2.98 each.
If you’re bored during lockdown and looking to try something new with your nails, this is a great way to have some fun. It might not be something you want on your nails every day, but it’s definitely worth a try when it’s this inexpensive for a bottle. My “add to cart” finger is itching to buy these just to see what they look (and smell) like.
