Friendly’s has brought back lobster for a limited time

If you are anything like me, then you love lobster. And summer is the perfect time to enjoy everything from lobster mac and cheese to fresh lobster rolls, as long as it’s from a restaurant of course. Luckily for us, Friendly’s has once again brought lobster back to their menu.

In an email that was sent out to their Best Friends of Friendly’s subscribers (of course I am a subscriber), we learned that not only have they brought back their classic lobster roll, but they are also introducing their customers to a new favorite – the lobster quesadilla. Basically this is a time for lobster lovers to rejoice, especially if you have a Friendly’s near you.

And while lobster is not the only new thing on their menu (we see you Buffalo Mac & Cheese!), it is definitely the star of the show right now.

Friendly’s is giving us two lobster loving dishes

When it comes to their Lobster Roll, we are talking about a creamy lobster salad with crisp celery and fresh lettuce sandwiched in a grilled rolled. It is served with coleslaw and French fries, although you can customize your sides with choices that include waffle fries, onion rings, or broccoli.

And then there is the the Lobster Quesadilla. Here we get lobster that has been tossed in a garlic sauce and then combined with Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses in between fresh flour tortillas. This is served with sour cream (of course) and a chunky salsa.

These two lobster items are only available for a limited time, and it is important to note that they are also at participating locations only. This means that if you have a Friendly’s nearby, you may want to check to see if these items made the menu before you get too excited.

As a long time fan of both Lobster Rolls and Friendly’s, I am excited to see these two back together again at a store near me. While summer is often the time of the lobster when it comes to their menu, things change, and it is nice to see an old favorite making a comeback.

I can’t wait to place my order for a Lobster Roll and a Lobster Quesadilla. Maybe I will even think about sharing.
