Krispy Kreme is getting inspired by classic desserts
If you are anything like me, you probably already consider doughnuts as a form of dessert. And yet, there are some dishes that just scream iconic when it comes to decadent desserts. Luckily for us, Krispy Kreme has decided to combine the best of these two worlds.
According to Chew Boom, it seems that Krispy Kreme has decided to offer some iconic desserts in the form of over the top doughnuts. At select locations across the United States and Canada, doughnut lovers will be able to snag up to three different dessert doughnuts.

Wondering which desserts ended up inspiring the dessert chain? It turns out that they have decided to go with Mississippi Mud Pie, Coconut Cake, and Banana Pudding for their dessert donuts.
- Mississippi Mud Pie – The Mississippi Mud Pie doughnut gives you one of Krispy Kreme’s “light and fluffy” doughnuts that is then filled with a Chocolate Pie Kreme. From there, the doughnut is topped with a chocolate icing and both a graham cracker and cookie crumble. To finish it off, they drizzle it with marshmallow for a truly decadent dessert doughnut.
- Coconut Cake – For the Coconut Cake doughnut, they created a coconut cake flavored doughnut that has a cream cheese icing on top. Of course, you can’t have coconut cake without shredded coconut, which is what tops this dessert doughnuts. (As a fan of Coconut Cake, this is one doughnut I can’t wait to sink my teeth into.)
- Banana Pudding – Finally we have another one of Krispy Kreme’s classic, fluffy doughnuts. This time it is filled with a banana pudding (of course), and then topped with a fluffy creme, as well as the vanilla wafers we expect to find with our banana pudding.
If you love Krispy Kreme and dessert, then you definitely won’t want to miss these new doughnuts that are only going to be around for a limited time. In fact, it seems that these delicious treats will only be here until June 24, so you will definitely want to snag these while you can!
