Dunkin’ is celebrating veterans with a free donut

Dunkin’ is once again celebrating Veterans this Veterans Day by offering a special freebie deal. And while this isn’t the first time they have done this deal, it is just as sweet as ever.

According to the Dunkin’ blog, on Nov. 11, the coffee and donut chain will be doing their part to honor service members. Both veterans and active duty service members will be able to head to a store near them and snag a free donut of their choice. And there is no purchase necessary, but of course, you’ll probably want to snag a coffee or latte to wash down that sweet treat.

Of course, it is not just their former and current service members who are guests of Dunkin’ that are getting honored, as they are also doing their part to honor their employees as well. It is all about paying tribute to the people who sacrifice so much for this country.

While we are certainly excited about the free donut that they are giving away, it is also nice to see how they are actively recognizing the people who are apart of the Dunkin’ family in their own efforts to do good in the community. In their blog post, they turned the spotlight on four different groups/individuals who are doing their part to connect with the community.

One spotlight went to Jason Bower, a franchisee who has shipped more than “800 pounds of coffee to active service members.” His actions even led to him being presented with an American flag by a veteran of the Navy. The flag in question actually flew in Afghanistan during the veterans time overseas!
