Cheetos is the winner of the food-related Super Bowl LV commercials

When it comes to Super Bowl Sunday, there are a number of things we look forward to. And we aren’t just talking about the Big Game. From our snacking options like Cheetos, chips, hot dogs, and chicken wings, to the Halftime show, one of the big reasons people look forward to this night of football has to be the commercials.

In a year when things have changed in big ways, is it any surprise that even the commercials of Super Bowl LV were impacted? After all, there were some big names who sat this one out, including fan favorites like Coca-Cola and Budweiser. However, in the void left behind by these giants of Super Bowl commercials past, one commercial really stood out from the pack in terms of food/snack related content.

For us, the Cheetos commercial featuring Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Shaggy was the real winner of the game.

Not only did this commercial give us all the nostalgia of the early 2000s, but it was genuinely funny and fun. There is something to be said for keeping it simple, but also adding that touch of humor that isn’t over the top but still delivers the laughs.

After watching the commercial, what did you think of what Cheetos brought us?

For us, it was just as much about how Shaggy’s song “It Wasn’t Me” was utilized, as it was his part in the commercial. And of course, it was hysterical seeing the proof of Mila Kunis taking Ashton Kutcher’s bag of Cheetos, being covered in Cheetos dust, and still claiming that she didn’t do it, all with a straight face.

The entire commercial was fun, funny, and ridiculous in the best ways possible. And that’s why this is our favorite food-related commercial of the Super Bowl in 2021.
