Is Popeyes open on Easter?

Popeyes is home to the country’s most infamous chicken sandwich. For many people, Popeyes might be an easy option for an Easter meal. Unfortunately, most Popeyes locations are actually closed on Easter Sunday. This means that some of you may have to rethink your Easter dining options.

You should check your local Popeyes since most are individually run. When checking with my local franchisee, I found they will be closed for Easter. If you find Popeyes closed for Easter, you might have to satisfy your cravings for its Louisiana flavors in a different way.

Other than the famous Chicken Sandwich, Popeyes is also known for its fried chicken which is available in both spicy and regular versions. No matter what you desire, both versions of their chicken are great.

In fact, Popeyes signature chicken is so good, it might be worthwhile to pick up some on Saturday and save it for Sunday. Although reheated fried chicken is not the best way to go, it might beat having no chicken at all. Some people even prefer to eat fried chicken cold. We did this a lot when I was growing up in the south.

Popeyes is closed for Easter, but you can still dream about what you would order

If you prefer to eat your Popeyes meal hot and fresh, you can still dream about it on Easter Sunday. Just think about that Chicken Sandwich with its pickles and choice of regular or spicy mayo. You can also think about which side you want with it. I go for the Cajun Fries, but maybe you want the mashed potatoes.

If you have impossible to satisfy Easter Sunday cravings for Popeyes maybe you can hold yourself over by thinking about what you will order from them on Monday. Could it be a family feast with Red Beans and Rice? Maybe the Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box?

Don’t forget you can also order ahead with the Popeyes app or online. This way your order of crunchy Chicken Tenders will be hot and ready for you when you get there. Just make sure you also some Chocolate Beignets or Strawberry and Cream Pies to finish everything off with.
