Add McDonald’s to the growing list of businesses promoting the COVID-19 vaccine! Here’s how the fast food giant is encouraging vaccination.

If you haven’t noticed this change in McDonald’s, you will soon! The fast food chain has joined Krispy Kreme, White Castle, Target, and others who are promoting the COVID-19 vaccine. Unfortunately, there aren’t many businesses spreading the good word, but leave it to Ronald McDonald to change things.

I don’t have need to tell you that McDonald’s is a fast food champion, which means it’s one of the highest-earning restaurants. So now that it is promoting the vaccine, I’m sure many fast food chains will follow — we’ll keep you posted.

So what is the fast food king doing, exactly? Read on.

McDonald’s is promoting the COVID-19 vaccine

According to the source, the fast food chain will redesign McCafe cups beginning in July 2021. The cups will now feature “We Can Do This,” a slogan created by the US Department of Health and Human Services. The web address vaccine.gov will also be printed in the cup.

These cups will only be available for a limited time and there is a very limited amount being made, 50 million. This may not seem like a small number, but it is when you consider how many locations are nationwide.

In a statement, Genna Gent (McDonald’s USA vice president for global public policy and government relations, said:

"“McDonald’s is excited to be doing our part for the people we serve, providing them with simple information that can help keep them safe.”"

What do you think about this promotion? Is this enough or do you believe the fast food chain could be doing more? No shade, but Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut!
