When most people head to their local Outback, I’m willing to bet big money that the only thing they are thinking of is having a Bloomin’ Onion. The tasty appetizer has become the chain’s signature and most iconic dish, to the point were you can forget they offer other dishes as well.

But Outback does in fact offer other items, lots of them in fact. And some of them are pretty good too. Are they as good as a Bloomin’ Onion? Well, I’ll let all of you decide that but the fact that I’ve never gone to Outback and not had one should speak for itself.

However popular the Bloomin’ Onion may be, it has never stopped the chain from trying new things and adding new items to their menu. Never one to rest on their Australian laurels, new and interesting dishes always seem to be coming and going on a regular basis.

And according to the Outback lovers over at Chewboom, that is exactly what has happened. They are reporting that two new menu items have been spotted, one a new appetizer and the other a steak that sounds like it could give the Bloomin’ Onion a run for it’s money.

Say hello to the Outback Dip Trio and the Bourbon Glazed Strip Steak.

More from Foodie News

First up is the Dip Trio, a new appetizer. It includes a plate filled with warm tortilla chips and comes with three (Also known as a trio. See what Outback did there?) brand new new dips. They include Three Cheese Steak, Kickin’ Pimento Cheese and Spinach.

The other is the Bourbon Glazed Bone-In NY Strip Steak, which sounds like a real winner. It includes a thick cut, one pound bone-in New York Strip Steak cooked how you want it on the grill and then coated with a sweet and savory Jim Bean Bourbon glaze. Oh, and you get a pair of sides as well.

Add in a Bloomin’ Onion for good measure and this is a dinner that few would say no to.

Both new items are available now at an Outback near you. However, like all good things in the foodie world, they are only going to be available for a limited time so if you want to give either a try you need to act sooner rather than later.

dark. Next. Huzzah! Cheesy Tots are back at Burger King!
