When it comes to the world of sports, wagers are something we expect. And that’s why we love the fact that Karbach Brewing and Blue Point Brewery took part in a friendly wager over the ALCS.

In honor of the American League Championship Series, Karbach Brewing of Houston and Blue Point Brewing in New York decided to hold a friendly wager between the two breweries. The wager was simple, whichever team won, the losing brewery would have to rep the other team’s gear while serving the signature beer of the winning team.

In this case, Karbach Brewing came out victorious as the Astros were able to come out on top as the ALCS champions. So what does this mean for Blue Point Brewing? Well, it means that now they have to not only rock Astros gear in New York, but they have to do it while serving Karbach’s Astros-branded Crawford Bock.

And that’s not all, as the losing brewery even had to brew the signature beer of the winning team in their tanks. Talk about an all out wager for beer and brewing supremacy.

As a fan of Blue Point Brewing Company, I was definitely rooting for them to win this one. However, as someone who lives in Texas I’m thrilled that the Astros were able to pull this win out for Karbach Brewing.

Considering the history between the Yankees and the Astros, it makes sense that their breweries would decide to have a wager of their own. And while the Yankees may not have pulled out a win for Blue Point Brewing this year, we can’t help but want to see these two teams face off again in the postseason, especially if that means we get more fun wagers like this one.

But seriously, we can’t wait to see pictures or videos of the Blue Point Brewery serving the Crawford Bock that is the Astros signature beer from Karbach Brewery.

That being said, congratulations are in order not only to the Astros, but also to Karbach Brewing. Of course, now we have to turn towards the World Series as the Nationals take on our ALCS champs.
