It’s officially Christmas at Starbucks. And that means that not only has the reusable red cup arrived, but so have all of the holiday tumblers, gift cards, and even the music.

I don’t know about you, but I love the holidays. And when one of my favorite places gets in on the action of celebrating, I am all for that immersion into the season. At Starbucks, it seems that Christmas came early this year.

When I walked into my local Starbucks to pick up my coffee this morning (and of course try to get my hands on one of those elusive red cups), I was actually shocked to see the transformation that my store had undergone. We are talking Christmas everywhere!

Not only had all of the shelves been over run with the new tumblers, but there were brand new holiday gift cards, there was Christmas music, and even bags of seasonal coffees on display. And it wasn’t just the merchandize that had gotten a makeover. In fact, every single cup in the place had gone from the typical clear and white cups to holiday beauty.

Even the menu got a bit of a face lift with the return of such favorites as the Caramel Brulee Latte and the Peppermint Mocha. Essentially, Starbucks was transformed into a Christmas wonderland overnight.

And I am perfectly okay with this. I love seeing that initial joy of the holidays. Considering how often we get sick of all the Christmas music and movies before the holiday even arrives, there is something special about that first time we see the transformation. It may be Nov. 7, but it felt like Christmas, and there is nothing wrong with that at all.

While I may think that Thanksgiving deserves more love than it seems to get, I was not upset at being able to get my favorite holiday latte a bit early. After all, these Caramel Brulee Lattes never last long enough.

And yes, I totally bought a new holiday tumbler (if I didn’t get it now it might not be there later). Of course, there were a few more that I wanted, but sometimes we have to remember our budget when it comes to those exciting finds.

It’s Christmas time at Starbucks, and this might just be one of my favorite times to be a customer. From the return of those classic seasonal drinks to the cups that are decorated for the holidays, this really is the most wonderful time of the year.
