When it comes to finding places to eat on New Year’s Eve, you don’t always want fast food. In fact, there are times when you would prefer a sit-down style restaurant. Whether this means something casual or something a bit more dressed up, we are here for these restaurant options.

So, if you are looking for a place to sit down and enjoy a meal on New Year’s Eve, then check out our list of 10 places that are open for you to dine and celebrate before actually ringing in the New Year.

While there are a number of restaurants that will be open, some may not have extended hours. And at the same time, there will also be some that have something special planned to help you ring in the New Year in style.

Casual and sit-down restaurants open on New Year’s Eve 2019:

Olive Garden – Up first, we have Olive Garden. According to Country Living, this Italian restaurant will be open its usual hours on New Year’s Eve. And if you live in the New York area, the Times Square location will be holding their own celebration that includes a DJ.

Buffalo Wild Wings – Seriously, who wouldn’t want to celebrate New Year’s Eve with wings? Luckily the chain will be open on New Year’s Eve and it seems like they may be open their usual hours. (Last year they stuck to their usual hours, and they will probably do the same thing once again.)

The Cheesecake Factory – If you want a delicious meal and a decadent dessert on New Year’s Eve, have no fear as The Cheesecake Factory will be open. And not only will they be open, but some locations are even offering extended hours that will include a champagne toast to commemorate the start of a New Year. If you want to enjoy a meal and a toast, I recommend calling your local restaurant to see what their hours will be and if they will be extending those hours for a celebration.

IHOP – Just like they were open for Christmas, IHOP will be serving their beloved breakfast offerings on New Year’s Eve. I recommend calling to confirm their hours, but they will definitely be open for you to sit down and enjoy pancakes, omelettes, or even juicy burgers.

Cracker Barrel – Even though Cracker Barrel was closed on Christmas, you wouldn’t have to miss out on a home-cooked meal on New Year’s Eve. The restaurant will be open, and apparently they will even be sticking with their usual hours. I would still call and confirm those hours, but at least you know you can count on a home-style meal to end 2019.

Denny’s – Another fan favorite that will be open on New Year’s Eve is Denny’s. Considering they are a 24/7 chain, this makes perfect sense. But it is always nice to be reminded that you can grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert anytime you want it, especially on the last day of the year.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House – You will definitely want to call ahead if Ruth’s Chris Steak House is your restaurant of choice on New Year’s Eve, as it is a guarantee that reservations will be required. However, you never know if you might end up getting lucky. And honestly, this might be one of the most decadent options for ending 2019 and ringing in a New Year.

Applebee’s – According to elite daily, Applebee’s will be there for you on New Year’s Eve. However, some locations may have shortened holiday hours, so it is always a good idea to reach out to your local store before heading over.

Chili’s – Guess which other casual sit-down restaurant is going to be open and offering the best Baby Back Ribs? Chili’s of course. And we are pretty excited by this, because it sounds delicious as a way to end 2019. If you want exact hours of operation, make sure to call your local restaurant before heading over.

Texas Roadhouse – Looking for a delicious steak to end 2019 with? Then you may want to check out Texas Roadhouse. While it is a good idea to call ahead to determine your restaurant’s hours of operation, they will be open on New Year’s Eve.
