Is Grubhub delivering on New Year’s Eve 2019?
Are you planning a quiet night in on New Year’s Eve? Do you want to avoid cooking and have something delivered? You might be wondering if Grubhub is available.
Even with the end of 2019 being the end of a decade, that doesn’t mean we are looking to party or spend the night on the town. And if you are looking for a quiet night in, that might mean potentially ordering food for delivery. This also means trying to find out if Grubhub is even offering delivery on New Year’s Eve.
The answer to whether or not Grubhub is delivering is actually not that easy. It all depends on the market where you live and what restaurants are actually going to be open. After all, Grubhub drivers can’t deliver food if there are no places actually making any.
Last year, Heavy reported that Grubhub would be offering delivery on New Year’s Eve, which will likely happen again this year. The only thing that will have any impact on potential deliveries is whether or not there are available drivers and if restaurants are open to fill orders.

Considering that in the past there have been at least a few places open and selling food, it is likely that Grubhub will be able to deliver for you on New Year’s Eve. Just remember, you may not be getting your first choice of restaurant.
As a reminder, please be kind to your Grubhub drivers. They are working on a holiday so that you don’t have to make that run to the restaurant for yourself. And even when the app increases fees, that doesn’t mean the driver will see that money on their end.
Remember to check your Grubhub app on New Year’s Eve to confirm that whatever restaurant you want to order from is in fact open. And enjoy your personal celebration, no matter what it may entail.
