This summer is going to be lit (maybe) and we have Snoop Dogg to thank for that. But, it’s not what you think! It looks like the rapper is releasing his very own wine.

I have been a fan of Snoop Dogg for years. And it’s not just his music that makes me a fan, it’s also his ability to grab an audience’s attention. (He is friends with Martha Stewart, and if that’s not attention grabbing, I don’t know what is.)

One thing that has certainly gotten our attention over the last few years is the fact that he is definitely a part of the foodie world. In fact, who could forget his work alongside Stewart as they hosted their own foodie series, Potluck Dinner Party. While they only got two seasons, it was a party every time.

And now it looks like Snoop Dogg is getting back into the foodie world, this time with the help of 19 Crimes wine, the Australian wine company that offers bottles featuring the convicts that helped colonized the country. The debut of his first wine with the company, that is set to release this summer, marks a multi-year partnership between the rapper and the company.

According to Delish, Snoop Dogg’s wine collaboration with 19 Crimes is set to be the company’s first California wine. This first wine that the duo will be releasing is a red wine blend that will cost $12 per bottle. (The blend will feature Merlot, Zinfandel, and Petite Syrah.)

Much like the original bottles of 19 Crimes wine, this new wine will have Snoop Dogg’s face on the bottle. And while the original wines feature an interactive experience that lets you hear from the person on the bottle, we don’t know if this collaborative wine will offer the same experience.

While Snoop Dogg may not be one of the convicts who helped establish Australia, as John Wardley the marketing VP in the Americas explained, “Snoop embodies the spirit of 19 Crimes–rule breaking, culture creating and overcoming adversity.”

Honestly, it feels like 19 Crimes is a perfect fit for Snoop Dogg when it comes to releasing his first wine. And we can’t wait to get our hands on a bottle of this red wine. In fact, as soon as it drops, we are grabbing a few bottles and throwing a wine party (even if it is a party for one).
