Chipotle is making yet another move towards healthy meals with Cauliflower Rice

Chipotle will soon add a new healthier menu option for your bowls and burritos, Cauliflower Rice! According to Delish, Chipotle will soon be testing Cauliflower Rice and some people are really excited. Me…not so much.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a healthy meal, especially if it tastes good! But, like most people, I’m not willing to sacrifice, flavor over a healthier option. I would rather enjoy my meal. I have sampled pizza with cauliflower crust and I was not a fan.

Forget the unpleasant smell that filled my home once I popped it into the oven, it just wasn’t any good. Hey, don’t take my word for it, though! To each their own, cauliflower pizza may be your new favorite. All I know is that it isn’t for me.

So when I learned that Chipotle is creating Cauliflower Rice, I wasn’t excited as others. But here’s what we know about it so far!

Chipotle’s new Cauliflower Rice

In select markets, Chipotle is set to test out its new rice. The source shares that Chipotle has selected approximately 55 locations in the Denver and Wisconsin area beginning on July 15.

The Cauliflower Rice will be prepared the same way Cilantro Lime White Rice is, grilled then seasoned with fresh chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Fresh in stores daily.

This option is great for those seeking plant-based, grain-free meals, or those sticking to Keto and Paleo. It will cost $2 extra to add it, though. It was a big no from me before learning about the price, so now that I know it’ll even cost me more to add it, I may not even be willing to try it out at all.
