It is almost Thanksgiving and that means that the legendary Gobbler has returned to Wawa for the 2020 holiday season.
Before we start, I want to make it clear that yes, I love Wawa. I will go out of my way to go to a Wawa and before going to other places I can get something to eat. There is nothing better then a Shortie hoagie on a summer day and their iced tea is amazing.
If you are one of those people that goes to (shudder) Sheetz or one of those other pretenders, go find another story to read. I’m sure there’s some entertaining stuff about McDonald’s you can check out while the rest of us celebrate the news from Chewboom that The Gobbler has returned to Wawa for the holidays.
The Gobbler is back at Wawa!
If you are new to the Wawa family, a bit of an explanation. The Gobbler is essentially a Thanksgiving dinner in the form of a hoagie. It includes hot turkey, gravy, stuffing, and cranberry sauce all served on a roll that you can eat on the go. The return of The Gobbler is a highly anticipated event for the Wawa faithful and is cause for celebration.

This year The Gobbler menu includes four different ways for you to get your Gobbler on. There is the original Gobbler Hoagie which was described above, then there is the Gobbler Hoagie with Mashed Potatoes and the Gobbler Hoagie with Sweet Potatoes. Each of those adds the respective potato to the hoagie as well as a garlic aioli. Then for those who don’t want the bread you can get the Gobbler Bowl with includes all of the above and your choice of mashed or sweet potatoes in a bowl.
But as someone who has eaten their fair share of Gobblers, you really need to eat it in its original hoagie form. It is by far the best way to experience the greatness that is The Gobbler.
The Gobbler and all its iterations will be available the entire 2020 holiday season so get one while you can. Because once they are gone you will really wish they weren’t. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
