The best foodie advent calendars to gift this holiday season

The holiday season is right around the corner. Although it might feel like now until December will take forever, three months is not actually that long, and starting your holiday shopping early will ensure the end of the year isn’t any more stressful than it has to be. And what’s the perfect gift for everyone? Food! And what better way to give food than with inside advent calendars.

Delish recently posted a list of a bunch of food and drink advent calendars, so let’s go through their choices to see which sound good and which you should leave at the store or in your cart.

More from Holiday

The first is from getvinebox.com and is their 12 Nights of Wine advent calendar. It comes with 12 vials (I don’t know what else to call them lol) of wine so you can have a glass of wine each day before Christmas. If you know a wine lover, this is a great gift! Or if you know someone who isn’t sure about wine but is willing to try, this is a perfect gift for them. It’s currently $129 and available to pre-order now.

Advent calendars come with everything from tea to popcorn to wine.

Next, is the Tea for Everyone 12 Tea Sampler for $24 at davidstea.com. If you have a friend that is especially obsessed with different kinds of tea, this is definitely a good gift for them. But I wouldn’t call it an advent calendar. It’s more of a set of tea really.

The next one is crunchy and delicious. It’s Harry and David’s 12 Days of Moose Munch and comes with 12 slots filled with a different flavor of caramel corn. Yum! If you don’t give this to someone you love, get it for yourself! It’s currently $39.99 on Harry and David’s website.

But that’s not the only popcorn calendar that’s available. For $66.91, you can get the Popcorn Advent Calendar with Bowls from Wabash Valley Farms on qvc.com. And this one is more than just 12 days, it’s 24! Each day, you either get a new kind of kernel to pop, a new seasoning to sprinkle on your popcorn, or a new recipe to try.

Who doesn’t like hot cocoa during the winter months? if you know someone who does (besides yourself), check out the 12 Days of Christmas Cocoa Advent Calendar at Amazon for $24.99. The person you’re gifting it to can try a different cocoa each day for 12 days. They only need to provide the mug.

The next is a 24-day herbal tea advent calendar on Amazon for $12.68  that would be perfect for your friend or family member who loves drinking herbal teas. Not as fun as popcorn and hot cocoa, but if they like it, that’s all that counts

If you know your friend is getting a new bread maker for the holidays, why not get them the Bonne Maman Preserves Advent Calendar to go with it?! It’s $39.99 at World Market and comes with 24 little jars of jam so they can try a different one each day. The flavors will taste even better on fresh-baked bread. Who’s drooling? I definitely am!

If you’re friend or family member is into gourmet sweets, the Gourmet Marshmallow Advent Calendar from Naked Marshmallow is just the thing for them. It’s around $22 and comes with 25 gooey marshmallows in different flavors. Everything from vanilla bean to salted caramel to watermelon

What would the holidays be without cookies? But if you can’t make them yourself to give to your friends, now you can give them an advent calendar full of a variety of delicious cookies. The Borgo De Medici Italian Cookie Advent Calendar is currently only $19.99 at worldmarket.com and allows your friend to open one section each day and try a different Italian cookie. The types range from biscotti to nougat with almond to limoncello cookies. YUM!

This list also features something for the kids in your lives. The Haribo Advent Calendar is filled with all kinds of different candies and is $24.98 on Amazon. It comes with the classic gummies Haribo is known for as well as gum and marshmallows.

You can also look out for coffee advent calendars, 12 days of beer in a box, and even more popcorn calendars. Chances are if there is something specific you’re looking for in an advent calendar, it’s out there. You just have to find it.
